First Day of School

I'm finally almost caught up on all the happenings of the summer, so I am now able to post the pictures of Alexa and Landon's first day of school. They have been going to school for several weeks now, so these are a little old. However, there's nothing quite like the first day of school, so I had to share these pictures.

Garder Snake!

At the beginning of August, my kids were playing out in the sprinklers in the back yard when Landon knocked on the french doors in my dining room. When I went to go open the door, I saw him standing there with a huge smile on his face, holding the tail of a much too long garder snake. After I screamed, I yelled through the door that there was no way on earth that he was bringing that thing in. He was planning on bringing it in and putting it in his bug box. Boys! However, even my girls came over and were interested in the snake. They did not get that from me! I hate snakes!

Spiderman!

Landon is pretty amazing when it comes to some of the acrobatic things he can do. Here are some pictures of him climbing our walls. He can make it all the way to the ceiling! He takes playing spiderman to extremes!

The Last of the Salt Lake Vacation Pictures (I Promise!)

Even more Family Vacation Pictures

Sorry for the unending pictures of our vacation. We just did so many fun things that I want to share everything! Oh, and we also visited Temple Square and ate at the Lion House Restaraunt there.

Family Vacation to Salt Lake City

This summer, we took a trip to Salt Lake City. We went the week of July 21st to celebrate the day we brought Alexa home from Primary Children's Hospital two years ago. We stayed in a Comfort Inn in Sandy. It was loads of fun! Some of the places we were able to visit were The Mayan Restaraunt, Hogle Zoo, The Gateway, The Living Planet Aquarium, The Dinosaur Museum at Thanksgiving Point, The Planetarium, and the Thanksgiving Point Children's Gardens. Here are some pictures of all the fun we had.

More 4th of July (Parade)

4th of July Weekend

For our Independence Day celebration this year, we went to my Mom's house and spend time with my siblings and their families. Here are some pictures of the fun we had with cousins doing fireworks and watching the parade.

Campout at Fall Creek (First one of the summer)

For our first campout this summer, we went up to Fall Creek by SwanValley. Overall, we had a good time, but that first night was probably one of the most miserable nights of my life. Rylan wanted to sleep in his own crib at home, and no matter what we did to try to get him to sleep in the camper, he refused. He screamed until 4:00AM, when Joe finally loaded him in the truck and took him home. They came back the next morning and Rylan was as happy as a clam
(but Joe and I were not because we were going on only a few hours of sleep.) Needless to say, Rylan has done better on subsequent campouts. I just can't believe we were willing to ever even try it again.

The Sand Dunes

Earlier this summer, we took a trip to the sand dunes in St. Anthony. This is a trip we take every year because the kids absolutely love it. It's just one GIANT sand box to them. And the best thing about it is it's FREE!
