Some Events at the Beginning of our Summer

I have had a very busy summer, so I haven't updated this blog as often as I should have. Here are some happenings from our home that were from the beginning of the summer. I'll update you on the rest of the summer later.

Here's Andrea and Rylan being really cute on the back deck.

Here's Rylan at our city's annual parade.

At the parade, watching the heroes that rescued our family three years ago.

Landon at the parade

Andrea was putting more parade candy in her mouth than she was in her bag. Can you tell?

Alexa at the parade

Alexa took a tennis class this summer. She had never even held a tennis racket before these lessons and she got pretty good by the end of the two weeks. I was proud of her!

Here's our first campout of the summer. We just went about 10 minutes down the road from
our house just in case Rylan was just as much fun to take camping as he was last year. We wanted to be close to home so if Joe needed to take Rylan home at 4:30 in the morning like last year then it wasn't a far drive. He did much better, however, and we were able to enjoy many campouts this summer. Here's my psychopath husband enjoying his marshmallow. (And it appears that he is planning how he will attack us all while we sleep.)

Andrea can still be a cutie covered with smores.

Here's Alexa with a view of the campground behind her.

Good morning, campers! We are starting to get pretty cramped in our little camper, but we always have a good time.

Rylan's now 2 years old!

Opening presents . . .It's a sailboat! Landon got a rubber snake for his birthday and Rylan just loved it so we got him one too.
Grandma Linda got Rylan some lift the flap books. He loved them!

Here's my big 2 year old enjoying his cake.

Eating the goods.

Rylan's pretty happy about his birthday.

For Rylan's birthday cake, I cut up the cake into chunks and put it in the back of a dump truck and then covered it with chocolate pudding and crushed oreos. I then stuck gummy worms and rock candy on top. It looked prety disgusting, but that was kind of the idea.

Here's a close-up view.

The cupcakes had construction signs on them.

Happy 7th Birthday, Landon!

Here's Landon with his best bud and cousin, Micah at Leo's place. (This picture is out of place because I accidentally deleted it and had to add it again, but now I can't figure out how to put it back where I want it.)

This year, for Landon's birthday, we did a pirate theme. Here's his pirate hat cake complete with the gold treasure. And here's my big 7 year old.

Landon wanted to go to Leo's Place for his birthday. We surprised him by having his Aunts, Uncles, cousins, and Grandma meet us there. He was very excited because his all time best friend is his cousin Micah and he lives an hour away. He has wanted Micah to come over for his birthday for many years now. So, needless to say, he was elated!

About to blow out his candles.

Modeling his "Super Landon" cape that Aunt Trina made for him.

Landon's just a little excited about his new boat for the bathtub.

Wow . . . a Bakugan Dragon!

Landon had a birthday party with some of his friends a couple of days before his birthday. Here he is with his friends.

Opening presents at his birtday party.

Here's Landon with his best friend from school, Lyndsay. (Yes, his best friend is a girl. I guess that's okay when you're in 1st grade.)

Andrea's 4th Birthday!

Andrea loves the Pinkalicious books by Victoria and Elizabeth Kann. In fact, I have read Pinkalicious to her so many times that she has it memorized word for word. So, for her birthday this year, she wanted a Pinkalicious cake. We also had a "Pinkalicious" dinner that night by eating everything that was pink. On the menu was pink pancakes with strawberry syrup, fresh strawberries, pink yogurt, and strawberry milk. As you can see, Andrea loved it!
Here's my big 4 year old with her cake.

Blowing out the candles.

Opening her presents. Surprise . . . it's Squinkies.

Andrea got the Pinkalicious book from Santa this past year, so we got her the other 3 books in the series for her birthday. We've already read them just about every day!

We also got her a Pinkalicious doll.

Modeling the Snow White dress from Grandma Linda. She loved it!

Enjoying her birthday cake and ice cream.

Easter Morning is Here!

Playing with the toys that the Easer Bunny left in the Easter baskets.Surprise! The Easter Bunny has been here!
Rylan got some toy dinosaurs.

Alexa got a Zoobles and an umbrella.

The three older kids all got umbrellas. The Easter Bunny was pretty brave getting the kids something that can brake so easily. Andrea's was broke by the next day!

Landon got some stretchy lizards and an umbrella.

Enjoying his lizards!

Andrea got some sunglasses and an umbrella.

A basket full of goodies!

Rylan loved Easter! He was shoving candy in his mouth just as fast as he could. I finally had to put his (and everyone else's) basket up out of his reach.
